The park opened on June 15, 1979 with 54 holes of miniature golf as the single source of entertainment.  During the 1980s, miniature golf was considered one of America’s past times.  As family entertainment has become more sophisticated over the course of 40 years, Putt-Putt FunHouse has consistently evolved by adding new innovations so guests may always enjoy the latest attractions.  Some recent b-roll footage can be seen here.  From state-of-the-art virtual reality for indoor fun to bumper boats outside, Putt-Putt FunHouse gives children, parents and grandparents a place to spend quality time together.  It’s been the place to bring a date, have a wedding proposal, wedding, and even a memorial service.
As many businesses and relationships fail to stand the test of time, Jim and Carol Saxe’s success comes from hard work and their true desire to make an impact on the community they love.  “It is an honor to have started this business with my wife,” said Jim Saxe.
Mr. Saxe was a basketball coach and teacher for 23 years for Clear Creek Independent School District before opening Putt-Putt FunHouse.  Now as a CCISD community partner, the Saxe’s contribute to school carnivals, celebrations, graduation projects, and hosts annual tournaments and food drives.
